Alexis Derickson

I am attending the University of Georgia to pursue a major in Journalism, a minor in Business, and a New Media Certificate.

I am passionate about the creative process, from the inception of an idea to the ultimate creation of a story or visual. I have a solid foundation in writing, an eye for design, and a strong work ethic. Each day, I continue to improve my skills through my work in AP style and journalistic writing with The Red & Black (UGA) as the Communications Manager, in addition to my creative and fashion-based writing as the Director of Writing at Rouge Magazine (UGA).

My goal is to pursue a career in journalism, specifically with a fashion, lifestyle, or culture niche.
